Cartoon Network has launched a new retail program for Steven Universe and Adventure Time that will run through December and be available at Hot Topic stores and online at

Hot Topic will feature a Hot Minute Interview with Marceline from Adventure Time on its YouTube channel, Marceline the Vampire Queen-themed products, an exclusive vinyl figure from Funko’s Pop! line, men’s and junior’s T-shirts, a hinge wallet, and a vinyl record. Boom! Comics will distribute a Marceline-inspired comic book with a $25 purchase of Adventure Time products. Funko’s Pop! line will feature exclusive Crystal Gems figures, and apparel and accessories will be available from Bioworld and Mighty Fine.

Steven Universe is a series about the misadventures of a boy named Steven and his magical adventures. Adventure Time follows the everyday adventures of Finn the Human and his dog. Season seven of Adventure Time returned on November 2, and the Marceline eight-part miniseries, “Stakes” will premiere on November 16.

Yo-Kai Watch Available on Official YouTube Channel

Recently formed multi-media entertainment company LEVEL-5 abby Inc. will begin airing full episodes of Yo-Kai Watch on its official YouTube channel, it was announced today by Yukari Hayakawa, Chief Operating Officer.
Currently premiering new episodes on Disney XD based on an original concept by LEVEL-5, Inc., the hit comedy-adventure series will now become available on the official Yo-Kai Watch YouTube channel in addition to VOD services from Disney, cable and satellite providers.
"Airing full episodes of Yo-Kai Watch on our YouTube channel just one month after initial broadcast on Disney XD is a key part of our strategy," said Hayakawa.  "It provides our fans with multiple opportunities for engagement with this delightful franchise, as well as access to special bonuses, prizes, and promotions, available only via the official Yo-Kai Watch YouTube channel," said Hayakawa.

Canada’s Kids’ CBC to Air The Jim Henson Co. TV Series Dot.

Canada’s Kids’ CBC is set to air Dot., a new animated series from Industrial Brothers in association with The Jim Henson Co. The series is based on Randi Zuckerberg’s picture book for kids ages 4 to 7.
The series follows Dot, a whimsical, tech-savvy, and inquisitive girl on outdoor adventures to satisfy her imagination, inspiring kids watching the show to work toward a healthy balance between technology and physical play.
The Jim Henson Co. is handling media rights for Dot. outside Canada as well as a worldwide consumer products program for the property.

Saban’s Popples Pops Plush Available at Walmart this Month

Popples, Saban Brands’ new Netflix original series for kids, launched on October 30, and the new series was supported by a strong advertising campaign and press on Entertainment Weekly, Mashable, and Modern Mom. Also, coming mid-November to and early December to Walmart stores are Popples plush from master toy licensee, Spin Master.
Fans can create their own Popples adventures with the Bubbles and Lulu Talk & Pop Plush as well as the Pop Open Plush, available for all five Best Popples Pals characters Bubbles, Lulu, Sunny, Izzy and Yikes.

Stride Rite, Celessence Partner for Odor-Eliminating Footwear for Kids

Genius Brands International Inc. (GBI) and A Squared Entertainment, the licensing agent for Celessence Technologies, have finalized a new national licensing agreement with Wolverine Worldwide and Stride Rite that will utilize Celessence’s fragrance technology to eliminate odors in children’s shoes.
The shoes will debut next spring in retail and specialty stores nationwide. GBI also finalized new global licensing agreements on behalf of Celessence Technologies with Build-A-Bear Workshop and Kittrich Corp. for North America.

Danger Mouse Lights up Hull; Mim-Mim and Tree Fu Tom Set for Cardiff

FremantleMedia Kids and Family Entertainment's Danger Mouse was projected on to the side of the BBC in Hull as part of CBBC Live and Digital, a weekend of events, live shows and digital activity in the city.  
The projection formed part of a special interactive game in which, children had to use code to help Danger Mouse make his way 24 meters across the building, up down and around windows, avoiding baddies and get to the top in time to be able to escape with his jet pack. 
Meanwhile giant bunny Mim-Mim from preschool hit Kate & Mim-Mim and preschoolers very own superhero Tree Fu Tom are heading across the Severn Bridge to Cardiff to entertain the crowds gathering for the CBeebies annual Christmas Panto next weekend.  The two pre-school stars will be making a special appearance to delight the young fans who will be watching the CBeebies' recording of Alice and Wonderland at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

Hollywood Vampires Partners with Epic Rights and Global Merchandising Services

The Hollywood Vampires have partnered with Epic Rights and Global Merchandising Services to create rock-themed apparel, collectibles, concert merchandise, and wall art through their network of licensees. Epic Rights and Global will manage the band’s official online merchandise shop.
Three years ago, Alice Cooper joined hands with Johnny Depp, Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, and producer Bob Ezrin to launch music album Hollywood Vampires, inspired by the atmosphere of Rainbow bar and grill on Sunset Strip, where artists gathered socially. 

Pokémon Launches New Games in UK

The Pokémon Co. International welcomes its latest Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion to the franchise as well as a new Break Evolution game mechanic, in Pokémon TCG: XY—BREAKthrough, now available in UK stores.
Pokémon TCG: XY—BREAKthrough introduces the new BREAK Evolution game mechanic, which features an HP boost and a new attack or Ability when a Pokémon evolves, and also retains its existing attacks. Pokémon BREAK cards are distinctive with a landscape design, unique foil pattern, and uniquely rendered art. Six new Pokémon BREAK cards are available in the expansion including Chesnaught BREAK and Zoroark BREAK.

DHX Media to Globally Distribute CGI-Animated Series The Deep

Technicolor has named Canada-based DHX Media the global distributor for CGI-animated series The Deep, co-produced by DHX Media and Australia-based A Stark Production.
DHX Media will represent the CGI-animated series worldwide, excluding Australia and New Zealand, which will be handled by A Stark Production. International broadcast partners currently include The Seven Network and ABC3 in Australia, Super RTL in Germany, Ketnet in Belgium, NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden, and YLE in Finland. The series is scheduled to premiere in Australia on Seven Network on November 30.
The Deep, an adventure series for kids ages 6 to 12, is based on a successful graphic novel series by Tom Taylor, which follows the adventures of the Nekton family, a team of underwater explorers.

New Spanish Agency Marcrom Licensing Launched

A group of professionals have created a new licensing agency in Spain - Marcrom Licensing. With our headquarters in Barcelona the agency represents a portfolio of brands including national celebrities such as Belen Esteban, Terelu Campos, Boris Izaguirre, Kiko Matamoros, Ylenia, among others. They also represent the corporate brands La Liga (Spanish football League) and Munich (fashion brand), and even international brands like Keith Kimberlin or Kokonuzz.
Ivan Marco has an experience of over 15 years in the licensing world, having worked five years at Real Club Deportivo Espanyol de Barcelona and eleven years at the licensing agency Biplano, where he led several teams of category managers in the areas of licensing, promotions and retail. Gwen Stefani and Petco Debut Fashion Collection for Pets

Petco launched Harajuku Lovers by Gwen Stefani, a fun and fashionable pet line, at stores nationwide on November 8. The limited-edition collection featuring more than 30 design-driven dog products, including a union jack sweater, a doughnut toy, checkers socks, and a fedora hat is also available online at
Petco’s grooming salons will also offer a Harajuku Lovers spa package featuring custom shampoos, conditioners, and fashion pawlish.

Care Bears & Cousins Premieres on Netflix

American Greetings Entertainment presents Care Bears & Cousins, a Netflix original series, which premiered on November 6, 2015.
First introduced by American Greetings in 1982 through consumer products, greeting cards, and later an animated CGI television show, Care Bears has become one of the world’s most popular and endearing children’s properties.
The television series, which ran from 1985 to 1988, is also currently available to watch on Netflix.

Grizzly Adams to Roar Back to Life Under Deal Signed by Abrams Artists Agency

Abrams Artists Agency will manage the licensing, publishing, TV, and film rights of fabled outdoorsman Grizzly Adams who lived in the wild terrains of California, according to a recently finalized deal.
Abrams Artists Agency will collaborate with producer and owner of the Grizzly Adams brand Tod Swindell and work across multiple divisions, including literary, licensing, theatrical, digital, and explore alternative programming groups in Los Angeles and New York to develop the franchise.
Adams, the real-life figure behind the legend, was a direct descendant of two U.S. presidents and his pet grizzly bears inspired the bears in the California state flag.

Vibrant TV Now Available on Roku

Vibrant TV Network has announced that its Vibrant TV streaming channel is now available on the Roku streaming platform. Vibrant TV features a wide array of entertainment from around the world in English including programming categories such as lifestyle, comedy, action adventure, drama, reality, travel, food, sports and family.

Erwin Pearl, NYBG Launch Fashion Jewelry and Accessories Collection

Erwin Pearl and The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) will launch a collection of fashion jewelry and accessories inspired by the grounds and architecture of NYBG and illustrated works from its LuEsther T. Mertz Library.
The 86-piece collection includes an assortment of bracelets, necklaces, earrings, pins, and charms ranging from $55 to $950. At the heart of the collection are 12 signature pieces based on Gaetano Testolini’s botanical illustrations from 1818.
Purchases of New York Botanical Garden by Erwin Pearl will support NYBG’s work in plant research, conservation, horticulture, and education. The collection will be available November 13 at the NYBG Shop and Erwin Pearl retailers nationwide.

Second Maya the Bee Movie Announced

Studio 100 Media has announced that production of a second movie about little bee Maya has started.  The brand-new feature film is planned to hit cinemas in 2017/18.  
“Maya the Bee 2 – The Honey Games” will be produced by Studio 100 Media in coproduction with Australian production company Studio B Animation and in association with Flying Bark Productions.  Munich-based Studio 100 Film is the international sales agency for the worldwide rights.

Playboy Partners with Supreme and Good Worth & Co. in Two Deals

Playboy and Supreme reunited to launch a fifth limited-edition collection in October including faux fur jackets, leather puffy jackets, hooded sweatshirts, and sweatpants. The collection is available at Supreme retail stores in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Japan and online at
Playboy also partnered Good Worth & Co. to launch a collection in early November, including hoodies, headwear, skateboards, socks, T-shirts, snapbacks, custom-designed keys, money-clips, pins, ashtrays, and lighters. The collection is available in select stores in Australia, Japan, and the U.S.

Toonami Snaps Up Latest Dragon Ball Installment

Toonami, Turner’s kids brand dedicated to delivering the best superhero and action-adventure animation in South and Southeast Asia, has snapped up the latest installment of the Dragon Ball franchise from Toei Animation.
Dragon Ball Super (52x30’) is the first all-new Dragon Ball television series to be produced in nearly 20 years, and will make its pan-regional launch on Toonami in mid-2016. It will be an exclusive first-run premiere on Toonami in Southeast Asia and India, which will also be its English-language world premiere.
“This announcement is huge for fanboys and girls in Asia. Dragon Ball is undoubtedly the original and world’s biggest anime export, and is a cornerstone of our programming on Toonami,” said Mark Eyers, Chief Content Officer for Turner’s Kids Networks in Asia Pacific. “Since the channel launched in 2012, Toonami has been airing episodes of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Z Kai, and to premiere Dragon Ball Super demonstrates the channel’s continued commitment to securing must-have and must-see content, first on Toonami.”

Snowdog Enterprises Ltd., Wild in Art Partner

Snowdog Enterprises Ltd. and producers Wild in Art have announced a new three-year partnership to bring art trails featuring 1.5m tall Snowdog sculptures to Britain’s cities.
The sculpture trails are inspired by the animated film The Snowman and The Snowdog, the popular sequel to Raymond Brigg’s classic story The Snowman. The first trails featuring The Snowman’s cute canine companion will take place across Sunderland, South Tyneside, North Tyneside, Newcastle and Gateshead, as well as Brighton & Hove during autumn 2016.
The public art trails, funded by corporate sponsors from around the respective regions, will see Snowdog sculptures decorated by well-known and talented local artists. ‘The Great North Snowdogs’ event is being co-ordinated by St Oswald’s Hospice, and ‘Snowdogs by the Sea’ in Brighton & Hove, by Martlets Hospice.
Next year’s autumn events will provide visually stunning trails of art, uniting businesses, residents and visitors to the cities, whilst raising vital funds for St Oswald’s Hospice and the Martlets Hospice when the sculptures are put up for auction at the end of 2016.
Both events are being delivered in partnership with Wild in Art, which has famously presented similar events in cities across the UK including The Big Hoot in Birmingham, Gromit Unleashed in Bristol and Go Superlambananas in Liverpool, attracting worldwide headlines.
