Moose Toys Named Master Toy Distributor for Bush Baby World in the U.S. and Canada

Moose Toys was named the master toy distributor for Bush Baby World in the U.S. and Canada. The brand will trade as Fur Babies World in North America, and will be available at retail next spring. The range will feature the same products as the UK line, and the animation will be repurposed for the North American market.
  
The Fur Babies World brand is featured at Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) Olympia this week on the Brands with Influence stand. Brands with Influence recently announced a series of licensing deals for the UK, and it is expected to bring licensing deals to North America next year. 

Rainbow Signs Deal with Santoro to Represent Gorjuss in Italy, France, Turkey

Family entertainment specialist Rainbow has announced a new collaboration with Santoro. Rainbow – ranked at #11 in the list of global licensors – will add to its impressive brand portfolio by acting as licensing representative for Santoro’s renowned Gorjuss collection across Italy, France and Turkey.

Rainbow will capitalise on the impressive growth of Gorjuss. In France and Italy, there is already a strong BTS presence, as well as longstanding success in DTR and apparel. Talks are also underway across various other categories, including toy, food and household goods.

Rainbow Group’s SVP, Licensing and Acquisitions Cristiana Buzzelli shares her enthusiasm for the partnership, saying: “We are so excited to represent a great  lifestyle brand like Gorjuss, which so perfectly fits our portfolio and DNA as a company. We are ready to bring Gorjuss into Italy, France and Turkey and work with the best licensing partners in our territories.”

Saban’s Power Rangers Live Tour to Debut Next Year

A live show based on Saban’s Power Rangers will debut on stages throughout North America in celebration of the TV series’ 25th anniversary. Power Rangers Live will be an interactive, mixed media stage production with stunts and martial arts.
 
Based on Power Rangers Ninja Steel, six ordinary teens will morph into the Power Rangers to help save cities and the world from an alien threat. The tour will first visit Phoenix, Arizona next February, and an additional 50 North American cities next spring, including Los Angeles and Toronto.
 
Citi is the official card of Saban’s Power Rangers Live, and Citi card members have access to a special pre-sale, as well as VIP packages that include a meet and greet with the Power Rangers through Citi’s Private Pass Program. Pocket.watch, Butch Hartman Partner for New Animated TV Series

Pocket.watch media brand partnered with Butch Hartman—creator of the Nickelodeon TV series Fairly OddParentsDanny Phantom, T.U.F.F. Puppy, and Bunsen Is a Beast—to create and produce three new animated series. The series are currently in development and include a series based on Hartman’s own creation, an original idea from pocket.watch’s development slate, and an idea from pocket.watch’s first creator partner HobbyKidsTV YouTube channels.

HobbyKids Adventures is the first series fast-tracked by pocket.watch, and will feature the animated exploits of three brothers from the YouTube channel HobbyKidsTV. Transformed into cartoon adventurers, HobbyPig, HobbyFrog, and HobbyBear can travel anywhere in their time-bending Giant Egg.

As part of Hartman’s non-exclusive three-year deal, he will be named senior creative consultant and responsible for providing creative input into pocket.watch’s digital channels, creator partnerships, and premium content.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment Announce Pan Macmillan as Master Strategic Publishing Partner for Watership Down

ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) today announce that Pan Macmillan has been named as Master Strategic Publishing Partner for the forthcoming CGI mini-series based on family favourite Watership Down (A BBC/Netflix co-production). In a deal that covers all territories and languages, Pan Macmillan will launch the media tie-in publishing range from A/W 2018 to coincide with the broadcast premier.
 
Richard Adams’ spellbinding classic is one of the best-loved novels of all time, selling more than 50 million copies worldwide. Beautifully reimagined by Bafta-nominated Tom Bidwell as a four part, animated television event premiering on the BBC in the UK and globally on Netflix (excluding UK) in 2018, this new CG animation for TV features an all-star cast including James McAvoy as Hazel, John Boyega as Bigwig, Sir Ben Kingsley as General Woundwort and Nicholas Hoult as Fiver, as well as Olivia Colman, Miles Jupp, Freddie Fox, Anne-Marie Duff and Gemma Arterton.

The Fred Rogers Co. to Premiere Season Four of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood on PBS KIDS

The Fred Rogers Co. will debut a fourth season of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, the preschool series that airs on PBS KIDS. The new season is expected to premiere next summer, featuring 20 episodes, including a one-hour special.
 
Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood continues to be one of the most streamed shows, averaging over 40 million streams per month. More than 4.5 million Daniel Tiger books have been published to date, and downloads of the apps, music, and episodes continue to rank high on iTunes.

Xilam Inks French Publishing Deal with Centum Books for Two Key Shows

Xilam Animation, the award-winning French animation production company, has secured a deal with France and UK based publisher, Centum Books, to license Xilam’s flagship brand Oggy & the Cockroaches in France. The French publishing deal, which also includes Xilam’s Zig & Sharko, will launch in Spring 2018 with an extensive range of first-ever story books and novels.
 
Centum Books, the master publisher of Universal’s Minions and Despicable Me franchises in Europe, will develop the two properties into all book formats, including, but not limited to, activity books, colouring books, sticker books, annuals, joke books, hardbacks and paperbacks, character guides and handbooks.
 
 
The deal, together, with Lansay’s launch of Oggy & the Cockroaches toys and games in January 2018, will strengthen Oggy’s presence in its home country next year in these core categories.

Cadbury Launches Help for Heroes Limited Edition Tin in Tesco

Help for Heroes, the Charity which supports those with injuries and illness sustained while serving in the British Armed Forces, has announced the launch of a Cadbury Heroes Limited Edition tin, exclusive to Tesco.
 
The one-kilogram tin, with its special drum design, will include Help for Heroes logos on the lid and side. And it’s a special launch in another way: this is the first time Cadbury has re-introduced a traditional tin since moving all of its assortments to tubs.
 
The Cadbury Heroes Limited Edition tin will launch in Tesco stores across the UK on 1 October and will have an RRP of £12.50; 65p of each tin sold will be donated to Help for Heroes. The Cadbury Heroes Limited Edition tin is expected to raise over £100,000 for Help for Heroes.

Charlotte’s friends liked her writings and, over time, the words inspired illustrations, characters, and finally a book that Charlotte sold from a stall in London’s Portobello market. The book was snapped up by Hay House Publishing and has now become a hit in both English-language and translated editions across a number of countries.

Cartoon Network EMEA Announces First Apparel Partners for We Bare Bears

Grizzly, Panda and Ice, the bear brothers from Cartoon Network’s prime time rating show We Bare Bears continue to draw huge audiences, reaching an impressive 161M individuals around the world during Q2 2017. The show follows the adventures of the three brothers’ awkward attempts at finding their place in modern-day civilised society, whether that be looking for food, making human friends or scheming to become internet famous. The Watercolour World Website to Create New Visual History of the World

An ambitious project to make available to the public more than three centuries’ worth of documentary watercolours from around the world has received royal backing from both Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.
 
The project, The Watercolour World, aims to create a unique visual history of the world by giving online users access to digitised documentary watercolours dating from before 1900. With tens of thousands of pictures already in the process of being uploaded, the project website is set to become a significant new source of global history when it is launched in Spring next year.

    • Responsible for managing licensee press releases, cross marketing and promotions

  • Negotiate new licensed strategic partnerships for assigned segments in conjunction with established category strategies

I am looking for a role which utilises my skills in negotiation and relationship building and can develop my experience within the licensing field. Having licensed book content to a wide variety of customers from national Newspapers to international Publishers I would relish the experience to work in a new industry, licensing new content to new clients.
 
I realise that a move across from traditional publishing may mean a step down from the managerial role I was in before. I'm enthusiastic to work in a new industry and feel my skills are easily transferable and am happy to look outside licensing roles also.
