Feld Entertainment Inc. and Sesame Workshop partnered for Sesame Street Live! Let's Party!. The production will immerse families in the world of Sesame Street through encounters both on and off stage.
During the show, audience members will hear the soundtrack with Sesame Street friends and live emcees Casey and Caleb. Kids will sing along to new and familiar songs, including “I Love Trash” and “C is for Cookie,” with Oscar the Grouch and Cookie Monster; dance with Elmo; explore a winter wonderland when Abby Cadabby’s magic goes awry; take flight with Big Bird to learn about some of his friends; and discover new cultures in an interactive Spanish lesson with Rosita.
A unique, up-close-and-personal pre-show experience will be offered at an additional charge prior to select performances, allowing families the opportunity to tour the on-stage neighborhood of the Sesame Street characters before they arrive for the main show. A variety of interactive activities give children the chance to create, discover, and learn as they help decorate for the upcoming party.
Paul Becker directs and choreographs the show, which will launch in St. Petersburg, Fla., on October 20. Tickets can be purchased here.

Unilever and Gibsons Create Twister Puzzle

Unilever has once again teamed up with the UK’s leading jigsaw puzzle company, Gibsons, to bring its iconic Twister lolly to life in the form of a double-sided, 250-piece jigsaw puzzle to target consumers looking to buy a fun gift at an attractive price point. Iftah Ya Simsim, an Arabic Version of Sesame Street Created for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Launches Second Season

Iftah Ya Simsim, a popular Arabic-language children’s series based on Sesame Street, will begin its second season on national TV channels across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and parts of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region this week. Season two will explore timely new educational themes, introduce exciting new characters, and feature guest appearances from well-known Arab personalities.
The 52 episodes expand on the lessons of Iftah Ya Simsim’s first season, introducing early vocabulary and concepts in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM), while promoting critical values like perseverance, cooperation, and team work. Lessons are woven through storytelling, games, and live-action segments—all designed to enhance the Arabic language skills of young children.

MGAE Expands Global Licensing Program for L.O.L. Surprise!

MGA Entertainment Inc. will expand its global licensing program for its toy brand L.O.L. Surprise!. L.O.L. Surprise! launched last December and offers seven layers to unwrap with a surprise in each layer, and a doll with a water feature as the final surprise.

Mattel’s Thomas & Friends partnered with Pottery Barn Kids to debut an exclusive licensed collection of Thomas & Friends home décor and accessories. The Thomas & Friends from Pottery Barn Kids collection includes more than 20 pieces that feature bedding, decorative accessories, tabletop, luggage, lighting, pajamas, and toys.
The collection incorporates artwork based on the original illustrations of Thomas and his friends from the 1945 The Railway Series by the Rev. W Awdry. The collection is available for purchase now on and in select Pottery Barn Kids stores nationwide beginning September 22. 

Awesome Media & Entertainment and Cloth Cat Animation Sign Deal for Stomp School

London-based Awesome Media & Entertainment, the company founded by Canadian-born creator, author and screenwriter Jeff Norton, and award-winning Welsh studio Cloth Cat Animation are entering an agreement to co-develop book property Stomp School for television. The deal was brokered by Industry Media.
Stomp School is the debut picture book from award-winning author and writer-producer Jeff Norton. It is illustrated by Leo Antolini and was published in August, 2017 by Caterpillar Books (an imprint of Little Tiger Press), to rave reviews.
Jeff Norton says: “I’m thrilled that Stomp School has found a nurturing home in Cloth Cat Animation, a creatively-driven company that will bring this eccentric cast of characters to life.”

Zuru, Tangle Creations Partner to Relaunch Tangle Toys

Zuru partnered with Tangle Creations to relaunch inventor and sculptor Richard Zawitz’ Tangle toys. The new line is available now at major retailers in the U.S. and a marketing campaign will roll out next month.
Tangles feature interconnecting links on a 90-degree curve that click together and pivot at each joint to form twisty creations. Tangles can be used as puzzles, fidget toys, movable sculptures, and more. Tangle toys originally launched in 1981 by Richard X. Zawitz, with more than 120 million Tangle units sold in over 40 countries to date.
Zuru’s full range of product will include Tangle links in an assortment of colors with a wide different patterns and textures.

Bulldog Announces First Partners for The Crystal Maze Licensing Program

Bulldog Licensing has launched the licensing programme for The Crystal Maze – with two partners already signed up for the revamped game show.

The Crystal Maze originally aired on Channel 4 from 1990 to 1995, achieving cult status by pitting teams of contestants against the fiendishly difficult puzzles of the Maze. After a hugely successful Stand Up To Cancer celebrity special in 2016, the show has now returned to Channel 4 for a full series. Hosted by maze-master Richard Ayoade, the new series sees teams face a new range of challenges as they attempt to navigate the Aztec, Medieval, Industrial and Future zones of the maze to win crystals that equate to time in the final challenge – the Crystal Dome.

The new deals will see Rascals produce board games, card games, puzzle games, and travel games based on the show’s format. Poetic Brands is also on board for adult T-shirts, nightwear and underwear.

“There are few gameshows that match The Crystal Maze for iconic appeal and the new version is creating a whole new generation of fans, so the brand offers huge potential for licensing,” says Bulldog MD Rob Corney. “We’ve already got two great partners on board and expect to be making more announcements very soon.”

Alpha Group Announces Launch of Operations in Latin America 

Following the launch of subsidiaries in North America, France, the UK, and Canada, Alpha Group has appointed Jose Antonio Espinoza to head the launch of Latin America operations.

Heidi Bienvenida a Casa Comes to Russia and Israel

Mondo TV has announced the debut of its first-ever live-action production in Europe and the Middle East, where it recently launched on major channels in Russia and Israel.
Heidi Bienvenida a Casa, a comedy-drama for teens following the adventures of a happy, carefree girl who leaves her beloved mountain home to live in the big city, launched on the Russian free-to-air youth drama and reality programming channel CTC LOVE on 19 August. The 60 x 45’ show airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 9 am.
More recently, the show launched on Yes KidZ Israel on Sunday 3 September. The show is stripped from Sunday to Thursday at 1.30pm. Yes KidZ is an Israeli television channel for children that started broadcasting on yes, the sole direct broadcast satellite television provider in the country, on 1 January 2017.

Rovio Entertainment, Everton Enter Multi-Year Shirt Sleeve Partnership 

Rovio Entertainment Corporation and Everton, the English Premier League Club, signed a multi-year shirt sleeve partnership. Beginning September 17, Angry Birds will be an official shirt sleeve partner for Everton.  

The Premier League sports league has more than 1.5 billion global viewers in more than 200 territories, and Rovio has 80 million monthly active users. The partnership will bring together fans from these two communities to participate in collaborative content in the Angry Birds games and co-branded fan merchandise.

IWM Expands Its Toys and Games Category Working with SmartFox

Imperial War Museums (IWM) is today excited to unveil images of its new range of construction sets created in partnership with SmartFox, a Koch Media company. Inspired by five of IWM’s most iconic objects, the sets feature Second World War Navy ship HMS Belfast, the Lancaster Bomber, Sherman Tank, Willys MB Jeep and the Hawker Hurricane. These sets offer younger age groups an accessible introduction to history, with packaging featuring archival images of the vehicles as well as informative descriptions. 
Previewed at Spring Fair in February 2017, the range generated a great deal of interest from both independent toy and gift stores as well as international retailers. Sales agents will be servicing accounts across the country including the North and South of England and Wales, Scotland and Ireland (North and Republic). DQ Entertainment has announced the appointment of new licensing agents for its popular brand The Jungle Book .The series will be represented for  licensing & merchandising by The Licensing Group Ltd (TLG) in North America, CPL for Latin America & Mexico and CIMCA in Central America. While Sinecast, Turkey has been appointed as promotional partners for the brand in Turkey.

DQE’s Jungle Book is a favorite brand among kids around the world. The Roald Dahl Literary Estate Appoints Brand Activation Consulting as North American Licensing Agent

The Roald Dahl Literary Estate appointed Brand Activation Consulting LLC (BAC) as its exclusive North American licensing agent. A new collection based on Ronald Dahl’s stories and Sir Quentin Blake’s illustrations will be available next spring. The products will include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda, and The BFG.
Dahl’s stories are available in 58 languages and approximately more than 250 million books have been sold to date. This year, Dahl was voted the Greatest Storyteller of All Time in a poll commissioned by Canon UK.
Categories for the brand will include toy, plush, games, apparel, accessories, stationery, home, school and library supplies, promotions, and collector’s products.

Xilam Secures New Broadcast Deals for Oggy & the Cockroaches and Zig & Sharko in Russia and CIS

Xilam, the award-winning French animation production company, has signed a raft of broadcast deals with networks across Russia and CIS for its hit animated properties Oggy & the Cockroaches and Zig & Sharko.
New broadcast licensees for seasons 5, 6 and 7 of Oggy & the Cockroaches include: Ukraine’s PLUSPLUS, Kanal 2 in Estonia and LNK in Lithuania. Seasons 3 and 4 of the series have also been sold to VIAPLAY in the Baltics and MTG Viasat for its channel TV3 in Latvia. Metrostar Welcomes Hairy Maclary

It was announced this week that Metrostar will be representing classic children’s picture book property, Hairy Maclary & Friends, for UK licensing.
The books, which are written by New Zealand author Lynley Dodd and managed by Penguin Random House Australia, have been family favourites for over 30 years. There is already a UK stage show, produced by Nonsense Room and licensed product is doing well in Australia and New Zealand. In the UK, Metrostar will target Hairy Maclary & Friends at the baby market in apparel, soft toys, puzzles, melamine, greetings, homewares and baby gift.

Light Fund Thing - the Official Song of The Light Fund

The Light Fund has found many ways to raise money for the many charities it supports. This autumn, we are entering new territory with the release of an official song, written and performed by the band Ryker Sear. Ryker Sear’s last single, One time Thing, reached No 6 in the Music Week pop chart in May this year. The band’s frontwoman, Regan, happens to be the daughter of LIMA MD and Light Fund trustee Kelvyn Gardner. After a chance conversation with Jakki Brown about the idea of a Light Fund song, Regan set to work (with a little help from dad) writing a new set of lyrics reflecting what the light fund does best: raise money while providing fun events. Thus was born ‘Light Fund Thing’.

  • Maintaining key collateral such as the artist and clients’ handbooks for digital pdf and print formats
  • Designing adverts and images for editorial and advertising features in industry publications
  • Designing and coordinating visuals for presentations for meetings, launches and other presentations that agents or marketing require
  • Coordinating design for trade shows including designing portfolio sheets for all agents and preparing and ordering design or branded collateral needed for trade shows

Crayola Is Seeking an Experienced Manager, Outbound Licensing. Located at Crayola Corporate HQ, Easton, PA

The ideal candidate will possess experience within either Toy AND/OR Publishing licensing experience.
GENERAL SUMMARY: Creates strategic direction for active licensee base and negotiates new partnerships within assigned categories to achieve growth objectives.   Directs tactical execution of licensed product lines from concept/line plan through commercialization.  


  • Manage existing licensees in assigned categories: 
    • Evaluate licensee’s quarterly marketing, retail and financial forecasts to ensure licensees on are track to meet established contractual obligations, royalty payments and forecast goals.
    • Organize and run licensee orientations, business reviews, semiannual/quarterly line reviews, and brain storm sessions.
    • Address specific licensee performance issues
    • Negotiate renewals on a timely basis
    • Provides input for annual departmental budget and plan
  • Ensure licensees develop seasonal lines in time for internal seasonal review and develop documents and presentations to communicate licensee’s initiatives to internal Crayola departments
    • Set trend direction and make recommendations for new product entry
    • Direct category research and product concept testing as needed with the consumer insights team
    • Work with creative and product development on design and creative direction for licensed product and packaging
    • Responsible for managing licensee press releases, cross marketing and promotions
    • Ensure adherence to internal approval process (i.e. safety, quality, financial, legal, content, creative, consumer activation, consumer affairs etc.) and assist in resolving issues.
  • Negotiate new licensed strategic partnerships for assigned segments in conjunction with established category strategies
    • Research, secure and develop new licensees building upon the success of existing segments in order to achieve predictable, profitable and sustainable growth
    • Negotiate deal terms including: grant of rights, royalty rates, guarantees, projections and business plans
  • 7 years’ experience in licensing or consumer marketing work for a CPG company.
  • Bachelors’ degree preferred

I have 8 years experience of working for a large London Publishing house licensing book content to third parties. I am looking for a role which utilises my skills in negotiation and relationship building and can develop my experience within the licensing field. Having licensed book content to a wide variety of customers from national Newspapers to international Publishers I would relish the experience to work in a new industry, licensing new content to new clients.
I realise that a move across from traditional publishing may mean a step down from the managerial role I was in before. I'm enthusiastic to work in a new industry and feel my skills are easily transferable and am happy to look outside licensing roles also.
