Lulu DK Tattoos Launches NFL Jewelry Collection

Lulu DK Tattoos will kick off this year’s NFL season with an exclusive new collection featuring the official team logos and taglines of all 32 teams alongside whimsical jewelry detailing. Lulu DK x NFL will also incorporate shimmering gold and silver colors to enhance each teams’ respective colors. 
 
The line is available now at luludk.com, nflshop.com, and select retailers nationwide.

Universal Pictures, Waze Partner for Furious 7 Promotion

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has partnered with Waze to promote the home entertainment release of Furious 7. The promotion will allow Waze users in seven cities to find Prizing Pit Stops giving away free Furious 7 merchandise.
 
From now through Sept. 17, Waze will display scheduled messages announcing the release of Furious 7 on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD in seven participating markets. On one day in each market, Waze users can also find directions to pop-up venues where street teams will be distributing branded T-shirts, license plate frames, hats, a limited number of free digital codes to download the film on Digital HD, and more.
 
Each Prizing Pit Stop will operate while supplies last for up to 90 minutes and then move on to two other spots throughout the day. Prizing Pit Stops will take place on Sept. 11 in Portland and Dallas; September 14 in San Francisco and Washington, D.C.; Sept. 15 in New York and Los Angeles; and Sept. 17 in Chicago.
 

GBI Adds Thread Collective to Psycho Bunny Roster

Genius Brands International (GBI) and its wholly owned subsidiary, A Squared Entertainment, have partnered with apparel manufacturer Thread Collective to create a line of high-end Psycho Bunny branded outerwear for the global retail market. Thread Collective joins a growing roster of licensees developing product lines for Psycho Bunny.
 
Thread Collective will create a fashion-forward collection of essential outerwear crafted from high-performing cloth primed for cold weather. The new apparel line is anticipated to debut at high-end department and specialty retail stores next fall.
 
GBI continues to actively seek partners worldwide to expand the Psycho Bunny brand into additional product lines, including active and leisure wear, bags and luggage, women’s and children’s active wear, accessories, fragrance, and electronics.

Star Trek 50th Anniversary Convention Comes to Las Vegas in 2016

Creation Entertainment and CBS Consumer Products will hose the Official Star Trek 50th Anniversary Convention next summer from August 3 to 7 at The Rio Suites Hotel in Las Vegas. The non-stop, five-day convention will host more than 100 Star Trek celebrities from TV and film.
 
The multi-day event will explore Star Trek’s set designs to its foreshadowing of many of today’s technological advancements. It will feature numerous costumes, prop displays, and convention-only freebies.

Care Bears Set to Launch at Build-A-Bear Workshop Next Year

The Care Bears will launch a line in all Build-A-Bear global locations in February. Guests will be invited to create their own stuffable plush Care Bears and choose from a range of accessories to personalize their bears.
 
The Care Bears collection will be available at Build-A-Bear Workshops around the world, including Australia, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, Northern Ireland, Singapore, South Africa, the UK, the U.S., and more.

Hasbro, Backflip Partner for Play-Doh Jam Mobile App

Play-Doh Jam, a mobile game developed by Fat Pebble and published by Backflip Studios in partnership with Hasbro Inc., brings the classic modeling compound Play-Doh into the digital space.
 
The app lets players squish their way to high scores in a colorful Play-Doh universe. Players use their finger to guide a virtual Play-Doh ball along, smashing targets along the way. Play-Doh Jam is now available for iOS and Android mobile devices.

Antonia Predovan Joins Brangenuity

Antonia Predovan is now director of business development at Brandgenuity LLC. Predovan will focus on hard goods sales and prospecting for new partners across Brandgenuity’s portfolio of brands, including Viacom’s adult entertainment properties, MGM Studios, Edgewell Personal Care, Pella, Gas Monkey Garage, and more.
 
Predovan previously worked as an associate director of brand management at Beanstalk. She managed licensing programs for U.S. Army, Stanley, and Dewalt, and had sales responsibilities on Guinness and Baileys and within Beanstalk’s manufacturer’s representation department.

The Queen’s Treasures Brings Little House on the Prairie to Life

The Queen’s Treasures has released details on its upcoming line based on the literary and entertainment property Little House on the Prairie. Available in September, the line includes 18-inch doll accessories, play sets, and more.
 
Knockout Licensing will manage the brand’s lifestyle licensing program in the U.S. and Canada.

Alexander Armstrong To Host 2015 Licensing Awards

Comedian, actor, quiz show and television presenter Alexander Armstrong is to host The Licensing Awards 2015, which will take place on September 15th in The Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
 
Alexander is perhaps best known as one half of comedy duo Armstrong and Miller and host of the popular BBC game show Pointless.   Currently the voice of Danger Mouse in the revival of the 1980’s animated series on CBBC, he also voices the characters of Mr Wolf and Policeman Stag in Peppa Pig.
 
Ian Hyder, director of The Licensing Awards and The Licensing Source Book (which owns and organises the Awards) commented: “Alexander Armstrong is the perfect host for The Awards, a charming comedian at the top of his game who will be sure to make it a night to remember!"

Alison Green to Partner with Jo Rose for New Picture book

Picture-book writer and award winning publisher Alison Green has partnered with illustrator Jo Rose to create a brand new picture-book story for Deer Little Forest. The 32 page book will be written by Alison and illustrated by Deer Little Forest creator, Jo Rose.
 
Alison’s previous books include The Fox in the Dark, which has enjoyed international success, and has been translated into nine languages, including Chinese, French, German, Korean and Swedish. It is also one of the most popular stories to have been featured on the BBC’s 'Bedtime Stories’ programme, where it has been read by both Josie Lawrence and Charlie Higson.
 
Alison Green comments, “I was delighted when Jo and Lisa asked me to work on a picture-book text for Deer Little Forest. Jo’s illustrations are so full of warmth, humour and rich, glowing colour, and she has created such an endearing cast of characters for me to weave into the story. The project is clearly attracting a lot of well-deserved interest, and it's really exciting to be involved with it.”
 
Jo Rose Adds, “'Like most mothers of a young child I am a huge fan of The Gruffalo and am thrilled to be working with an associate of this classic in any capacity. But it is Alison’s amazing writing that will make Deer Little Forest truly come to life!'

Historic Royal Palaces Announced as Licensing Awards Finalists

Historic Royal Palaces, the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Banqueting House, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle, have been announced for the first time as a Licensing Awards finalist in two categories for two licensed collections.
 
Briers, in association with Historic Royal Palaces, have been announced as finalists in the Best Licensed Brand Range category for their Baroque inspired gardening tools and accessories collection. The Baroque design was a style prominent across interiors, architecture and fashion during the 17th and 18th centuries and is prevalent across all the palaces, most notably in The King’s Gallery at Kensington Palace.
 
Historic Royal Palaces have also been nominated in The Innovation Award category for their fashion collection with Hobbs - Collection No. 4.
 
Emma Saunders, Retail and Business Development Manager, Historic Royal Palaces, said: “We are delighted that our licensees have been nominated for these two awards. It highlights the growth and strength of our licensing programme. The palaces provide a rich source of inspiration for all our licensees from their magnificent interiors to their stunning gardens. Blinky Bill Discovers a Whole New World

Studio 100 Film has announced the upcoming release of the full-length, CGI-animated feature film Blinky Bill The Movie.  Australia’s favorite Koala has already launched onto cinema screens on Friday 21st August 2015 in Poland.  Next dates will be the opening in Bulgaria (11th September), Australia (17th September), South Korea (24th September), Romania (2nd October), Middle East and Slovakia (15th October), the Czech Republic (22nd October) and Hungary (19th November). Further dates for the rest of the world will be announced shortly.
 
Commenting on the worldwide rollout, Patrick Elmendorff (Managing Director Studio 100 Film) said, “We are really pleased to have received such great interest from international distributors and look forward to seeing our mischievous, cheeky and adventurous hero leave his unique footprint in cinemas around the world.  Blinky Bill is a fantastic story, filled with amazing characters.  Visually stunning, this action packed comedy movie bursting with fun and adventure, is set to engage, inspire and entertain global audiences”.

Moose Enterprises Secures Seizure Order and Injunction to Prevent Sale of Counterfeit Shopkins Toys in the U.S.

Australia-based toy maker Moose Enterprises has successfully executed seizure orders on U.S. organisations operating retail stores which were found to be selling counterfeit Shopkins brand toys.
 
Following the recent investigation and raids in China on factories manufacturing and selling counterfeit Shopkins toys, intellectual property lawyers for Moose Enterprises, Epstein Drangel, LLP, obtained an order from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York permitting Moose to seize counterfeit goods and business records and imposing a temporary restraining order against the organisations making further sales.  Following the seizure, the organisations have agreed to a preliminary injunction while the parties discuss settlement.
 
The seizure orders are part of Moose Enterprises’ zero tolerance policy with respect to counterfeit goods.

Hinchcliffe & Barber Debuts in Japan

Zenworks Co., Ltd, and Brandog Co., Ltd, the joint licensing agents in Japan for Hinchcliffe & Barner, have announced that Huayu Co., Ltd will launch a rang of licensed table porcelain at the Tokyo International Gift Show (2-4 September).
 
Huayu’s product range marks the first licensing foray into the Japanese market for Wendy Hinchcliffe and John Barber’s craft-basked British designs.
 
The range will target the wedding, celebratory and personal gift markets, and then later expand into select retail store chains. The products will be available in two designs, Resist, and Summer Garden.
 
Wendy commented “I am delighted with the range from Huayu. It has been wonderful to see bring all the colour and exuberance of the English Summer Garden to market in Japan, and the graphic and cool Resist has delivered a totally different look from our archive.”
 
Roger Berman, President of Zenworks, said: “Together with Pochi Kusama, President of Brandog, we are hugely excited to launch Hinchcliffe & Barber licensed product into the Japanese market, especially at the Tokyo Gift Show which attracts nearly 200,000 buyers and is the largest trade show of its kind in Japan.
