Following a successful reaction at Las Vegas Licensing Expo, Rockpool announces the first wave of UK partners for WildWorks’ global online playground, Animal Jam. 
Cooneen and Misirli partner for nightwear, underwear, and hosiery; Dreamtex for bedding and soft textiles; Gemma International for greetings cards, gift wrap, and party paperware; IG Design Group for stationery and paper creative play, and Posh Paws for bags & backpacks.
The Jazwares toy line launches in the U.S. and the UK have sparked the interest of the trade. With over 55M worldwide registrations, 70-minute daily engagement time, and the capability to add value to any consumer product or promotion with in-game content makes Animal Jam an outstanding licensing prospect.

Beanstalk Enters Global Partnership with the Isaac Hayes Estate

The Isaac Hayes Estate signed an exclusive representation agreement with Beanstalk. The late soul singer, songwriter, actor, producer, and voice artist will be represented under the agency’s Icon Representation division.

Beanstalk will represent the personality rights for use in advertising, media, and long-term brand associations.

Maggie & Bianca Fashion Friends Set for Global Premiere

Maggie & Bianca: Fashion Friends – the brand new show from Rainbow – is set for its global premiere later this month.
Fans will get their first glimpse on August 29th, when the first episode screens across Italy at evening primetime on Rai Gulp.
The series represents Rainbow’s first foray into a full live-action production and promises to delight audiences around the world with a tale of two cultures coming together. The show tells the story of Maggie - an ordinary American girl with a dream of becoming the world’s greatest fashion designer - who wins a two-year scholarship at the Milan Fashion Academy. There she meets Bianca, a self-proclaimed Italian ‘princess’, and together they make friends with other students, who all share a passion for fashion and music. The show follows their friendships, competitions, love stories, dreams and disappointments – as well as the discovery of secrets that change their lives forever!
The premiere comes hot on the heels of an appearance at the Giffoni Film Festival, with a screening accompanied by live dancing and singing.
There is a huge marketing plan in place to support the release of the show. This includes street activities - with a flashmob making appearances in major Italian cities, a strong media partnership, TV appearances by the cast, and live concert events for teens.
A pan-European master toy agreement has been signed with Simba, whilst Rainbow is currently in talks with leading TV companies across the world in regards broadcasting rights.

Mercis B.V. Announces Global Miffy Collection with H&M

Mercis B.V. announced that the Miffy collection will launch its first global line with H&M in September. The line will feature Miffy, the character from the storybooks by Dutch artist Dick Bruna, and will include accessories and apparel for babies ages 0 to 24 months and clothing for kids ages 1 to 14.
The collection will be available at H&M stores across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North and South America, select countries in the Asia Pacific, and online at

Start Licensing to Represent Bouffants & Broken Hearts by Kendra Dandy in Europe

Start Licensing has reached an agreement with Jewel Branding and Licensing to represent Kendra Dandy's Bouffants and Broken Hearts designs. The representation will cover Europe with the exception of France.
Kendra’s designs are bright, quirky, fresh, and original. Her cheerful prints have been featured in collaborations with notable companies including Anthropologie, Keds, teNeues, Urban Outfitters, and Bobbi Brown.
In 2012, Kendra launched the brand Bouffants & Broken Hearts, which has quickly gained an impressive and growing social media following of over 25,000 loyal fans. The brand represents a sense of individuality, self-expression, and fun. Nothing about it is conventional – the mix of patterns, colours, and subjects is original; designs are loud, and everyday life is reinterpreted in surprising and amusing ways.
Dandy’s colourful patterns are featured on products including decorative pillows, tech accessories, beauty packaging, stationery, and fashion accessories, with new categories in development.
Product launches include luxury Italian fashion label, Lazzari, who partnered with Kendra on a whimsical collection of shirts and dresses. F+W will be releasing a colouring book featuring the illustrator's beloved designs. Trimcraft is developing an extensive collection of crafting products and designs to be released globally in 2017. Robert Kaufman worked with the designer to create a fashionable collection of fabric. Fab and DENY DESIGNS developed a fun collection of home decor products, accessories and apparel.  Barnes & Noble launched playing cards with the designer's art through Andrews Blaine.

Petmate Launches Muttnation Fueled by Miranda Lambert Pet Collection

MuttNation Fueled by Miranda Lambert collection of pet products, from Petmate, is now available at pet specialty stores and online retailers. The full line includes bedding, collars, leashes, toys, apparel, accessories, and feeding and watering products.
The line includes the Rescue Mutts, a collection of six plush dogs, as well as handcrafted, mixed material toys such as, MuttNation Treat Guitar and MuttNation Tambourine Faux Suede Toys. The bedding collection includes the MuttNation Lambs Wool Tooled Leather Printed Lounger and the MuttNation Lambs Wool Corner Fringe Printed Lounger.
The collars and leashes collection are custom fit, with mixed materials such as denim and faux leather, rhinestones, tassels, and bows with antique brass and nickel hardware. The water and food collection features mats with tooled leather, red bandanas, and a selection of country crocks and bowls.
Every purchase helps fund rescue and adoption programs of MuttNation Foundation. 

Arley House to Produce British Museum Range of Fabrics

The British Museum, the UK’s most popular visitor attraction, has licensed Arley House, a designer and manufacturer of bespoke fabrics, to produce a range of British Museum fabrics illustrated with designs drawn from the Museum’s collection of objects.
The range will draw inspiration from the British Museum’s Ancient Egypt and Asia collections. Each image will be expertly reproduced by Arley House’s own in-house colourists and designers onto a wide variety of luxury printed linens, cottons and velvets suitable for cushions and upholstery.
The range launches at Decorex 2016, the biggest interior design event for both trade and consumers in the UK, taking place from 18-21 September in historic Syon Park, in Brentford, Middlesex. It will then be available via a network of UK-wide interior designers and specialist design retailers, as well as the Arley House showroom in Cheshire and online. The core market for the Arley House range is expected to be design-loving homeowners from young adult upwards.
Specialist brand agency TSBA Group has been appointed to build a global licensing campaign on behalf of the Museum. Licensee announcements relating to a number of categories, including stationery, greeting cards, rugs, mobile phone covers, accessories and more are planned or imminent.

High Times Signs with United Talent Agency

High Times signed with United Talent Agency (UTA) for a media, content, licensing, and consumer products representation agreement. The two companies will present a variety of products and media to the marketplace. 

UTA will represent High Times in areas including film, TV and digital, consumer products, licensing, games, and premium brand sponsorships. High Times also recently forged two research partnerships with New Frontier and sparks & honey.

Born Global Limited Signs Long-Term Agreement with HEAD

Born Global, part of The Repco Group of Companies, has announced the signing of a license agreement with HEAD Sport covering the use of the HEAD brand on Audio-, Telecom- and Lighting products.
The agreement allows Born Global to develop and market HEAD branded products in North America through the US division, Born Global, LLC. The start in the North American continent will set the parameter for a further role out in other territories.
Born Global will supply major retailers with these HEAD branded products. 
“In close cooperation with HEAD Sport and retailers our goal is to continuously grow the product categories and the HEAD brand-awareness in the region”, says Repco Group CEO Carsten Bo Skoett.  He continues: “Most people will recognize the HEAD brand as a high quality sports brand throughout the world.  We will develop and offer products that will appeal to the active consumer and the pro sports enthusiast which will complement their active/sport experience.”

Season Two of PBS Kids’ Ready Jet Go in Production

Wind Dancer Films announced production on season two of the PBS Kids series Ready Jet Go!. Production for the new season began this month, and will launch late next year. Season two will feature 24 new episodes, an hour-long special, and a collection of new web games and mobile apps.

The Ready Jet Go! consumer products program will launch at retail next year and will include licensed toys, publishing, apparel, and more.

Whichford Launches RHS Wildflower Collection

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has announced that RHS licensee Whichford Pottery, which designs and makes a wide range of English flowerpots using traditional hand-thrown and hand-pressed methods, has launched the RHS Wildflower Collection.
Developed as part of Whichford’s 40th anniversary celebrations, the RHS Wildflower Collection features seven finely modelled decorations that celebrate and showcase the beauty of British wildflowers, from common creeping clover to timeless wild daffodil.
This unique and distinctive range of frost-proof flowerpots has been designed especially for discerning gardeners by master potter Jim Keeling, using the resources of the RHS Lindley Library, the world’s finest collection of botanical art, as inspiration. The pots are all handmade, as are the roulettes and moulds, both of which are used in the patterning and decorating process.
Whichford Pottery has been a supplier to the RHS for more than 35 years, and has produced RHS licensed products for 10 years. The company is an important part of a strand to the RHS Licensing programme that focuses on UK manufacturing and craftsmanship.
Now in its third decade, the RHS Licensing programme boasts more than 50 licensees in the gardening, gifting and homeware categories. RHS Licensing is growing in 2016 to include educational toys, apparel and accessories, and an expanded garden category. This is supported by a new RHS Licensing Style Guide based on 500 wonderful images specially selected from more than 25,000 housed in the RHS Lindley Library.

BBC Worldwide Appoints Red Live Executive as New Commercial Director

Dustin Lockett will join BBC Worldwide ANZ as its commercial director.
Working with BBC Worldwide’s global brands, including Doctor Who, Sherlock, and BBC Earth, he will oversee live events and entertainment, consumer products and home entertainment, and the development of all ancillary brand licensing revenue streams.
Lockett will also work closely with Jon Penn, BBC Worldwide ANZ Managing Director, to help drive the business strategy in Australia and New Zealand.

ITV Ready for Next Wave of Thunderbirds Are Go Products

ITV Studios Global Entertainment will launch new Thunderbirds Are Go merchandise programmes across France, Benelux and Nordics, as of September.
Spearheading the merchandise roll-out in France, Benelux and the Nordics is the toy category and ITVS GE is working closely with master toy licensee Vivid Imaginations to launch its innovative range in each market from September. The first toys launching will be flagship lines including the iconic Tracy Island interactive playset, Supersize Thunderbird 2 playset and Tracy brothers action figures. Vivid’s roll-out will be supported by comprehensive marketing including TV advertising, digital and PR campaigns in addition to retail promotions and eye-catching points-of-sale.

The Wish Factory LLC Partners with Saban for Power Rangers Kawaii Cubes

The Wish Factory LLC partnered with Saban Brands to manufacture an exclusive line of merchandise inspired by the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers TV series.

Through this partnership, The Wish Factory and Saban Brands will develop and manufacture a line of Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers Kawaii Cubes, including licensed collectible, stackable plush in multiple sizes.

KidsOut Cause Related Licensed ‘Sticker Programme to Launch at BLE

Following the support offered by the industry over the past year, the launch of a new Cause Related Licensing (CRL) programme has been announced for KidsOut which allows licensees, manufacturers and retailers of all sizes to give ongoing support to this outstanding charity.
As the Official Charity of BLE2016, the ambition at KidsOut is to maintain support for the 50,000 disadvantaged children helped in 2015/6.
KidsOut partnered with OpSec Security, one of the global market leaders in royalty protection and authentication for the world’s most popular licensed brands.

PBS Kids’ Odd Squad to Launch National Theater Tour this Fall

The PBS KIDS series Odd Squad will hit the road with ODD SQUAD LIVE! The live musical production will launch in October in Rutland, VT at The Paramount Theatre. It will make stops in more than 60 cities across North America, including school and public performances.

Pyramid International has launched a new-look website, in accordance with client and customer needs.

South Park Partners with Source3 to Launch 3D Consumer Products

Source3 has officially launched the first set of 3D printed South Park characters, celebrating the 20th anniversary season of the series, via Amazon and Shapeways.
The South Park figure collection features fan favorite characters, side characters and characters previously unavailable to diehard fans via traditional licensing and manufacturing. The collector-inspired line incorporates full color 3D prints ranging in scale and styling. The collection will evolve over the three-year partnership and feature year-round introductions of new and old characters.

I have 8 years experience of working for a large London Publishing house licensing book content to third parties. I am looking for a role which utilises my skills in negotiation and relationship building and can develop my experience within the licensing field. Having licensed book content to a wide variety of customers from national Newspapers to international Publishers I would relish the experience to work in a new industry, licensing new content to new clients.
