ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) announces that Kuato Studios is developing a story-telling game app based on the adventure TV show Thunderbirds Are Go. Set to release in early 2018, the app will be available on iOS and Android.
The deal for the Thunderbirds Are Go story-telling game app follows the recent success of Parker’s Driving Challenge, an app developed by Play with Games, which achieved Top 10 status on iOS in more than 114 countries and had over two million downloads in the first few weeks.
Thunderbirds Are Go has aired in over 40 markets, across all continents. The global licensing program for the show has more than 85 licensees covering all key categories.

Second Moscow Licensing Summit 2017 Announced

The second edition of Moscow Licensing Summit will take place in Moscow on Tuesday, 19 September 2017 at World Trade Center, one of the largest multifunctional centers in Russia.
Conducted by Grand Expo, the organizer of the annual licensing show Licensing World Russia, Moscow Licensing Summit 2017 is now the unique annual event of its kind in Russia.
This one day ‘complete dive’ into the licensing industry will gather a high-quality professional audience - right holders and licensing agencies, licensees, retailers, brand and marketing managers, consultants, investors, financial analysts, wholesalers and leading business media representatives.
Moscow Licensing Summit is a great opportunity for global licensing companies to enter the Russian market and to present new products. Besides the rich networking program visitors will get the most relevant topics of the licensing market in Russia, will exchange information and experience and the best practical cases.

The first event, which took place in September 2016, was attended by 304 guests and participants; 23 right holders and licensing agents introduced 120 popular Russian and foreign licenses; 18 leading experts of the Russian licensing industry participated in the conference part of the Summit.

Cartoon Network Unveils UK Retail Activations to Support Ben 10 Toy Launch

The fresh take on Cartoon Network’s Ben 10 made its debut on UK TV screens in October 2016 and is successfully captivating a new generation of boys. The licensor today shares details of upcoming UK retail activations that will support the new toy range and drive fan excitement. 
Kicking off the UK merchandise roll-out, 15th July saw the first wave of toys from master global toy partner Playmates debut at retail. Flair is distributing the new range in the UK and the first SKUs now available include collectible figurines, ‘power-up’ and deluxe figures, role-play items, basic and deluxe versions of the Omnitrix and the Rust Bucket playset. 
Cartoon Network is backing the toy launch with a Ben 10 ‘Hero Truck Tour’ that will see a branded Rust Bucket trailer visit Toys ‘R’ Us, Tesco and Smyths stores across the country. The immersive activity will include an Augmented Reality experience that will encourage players to unleash their inner hero and see themselves transform into their favourite Ben 10 alien. Kicking off on 27th July at Tesco Extra Havant in Hampshire, the tour will then head to an additional 16 locations including Bristol, Derby, Leeds, Glasgow and Ipswich before finishing up at Smyths in Ashford on 20th August.  Following its UK run, the tour will then make its way across Poland, Spain and Italy.   
Alongside this, The Entertainer, Smyths and Toys ‘R’ Us now have Rust Bucket inspired display units across their stores to showcase the new toy range to visitors.

CPLG has launched a licensing programme for Crystal Palace Football Club, securing four best in-class licensees across fashion accessories and gifting.
Premium sports lifestyle brand ’47 is on board for high-end fashion-led headwear, gloves and scarves. The company is a big player in sports licensing and bring a wealth of experience to the programme.
Ecell Global, a worldwide leader in custom mobile device case designs, have launched a Crystal Palace branded range of mobile accessories, including phone cases and protectors.
Storm International have produced a range of accessories and gifting items spanning gym bags to badges, and SoccerStarz have launched Crystal Palace team collectible figurines.

Genius Brands Promotes Two Executives

Genius Brands International has advanced two of its top executives – Kid Genius Cartoon Channel President Deb Pierson has been named as SVP, Global Content Distribution & Marketing; and Lloyd Mintz has been promoted to SVP of Worldwide Consumer Products.  The announcement was made today by Genius Brands’ Chairman & CEO Andy Heyward, to whom both report directly.

Uware Brands Launches National Wildlife Federation Line

Uware Brands has entered into a licensing agreement with the National Wildlife Federation. The relationship allows National Wildlife Federation-branded apparel specifically designed to connect with supporters of America’s largest wildlife conservation and education nonprofit.
"The addition of the National Wildlife Federation to our growing portfolio of licensors is a perfect way to celebrate Ranger Rick’s 50th anniversary,” said David Harkins, VP, Marketing for Uware. “We are excited about working with the organization to support America’s wildlife and protect its environment.”

Welch’s Announces Brandgenuity as Exclusive Agent in the UK

Welch’s announces that it has selected Brandgenuity to serve as its exclusive licensing agency of record in the UK. The Welch’s brand enjoys broad distribution of its refrigerated and shelf stable juices and juice blends in the UK market and hopes to grow the retail brand footprint and continue to attract consumers through licensing.
Welch’s is the processing and marketing subsidiary of the National Grape Cooperative. Puffin Rock Migrates to Newly Rebranded Milkshake!

Puffin Rock, the award-winning animated pre-school series narrated by Chris O’Dowd, will launch this month on Channel 5’s Milkshake! as part of the refresh of the popular pre-school block. 
Puffin Rock was co-produced by Oscar-nominated studio Cartoon Saloon, Penguin Random House, and children’s media company, Dog Ears.

  • Manage existing licensees in assigned categories: 
    • Evaluate licensee’s quarterly marketing, retail and financial forecasts to ensure licensees on are track to meet established contractual obligations, royalty payments and forecast goals.
    • Organize and run licensee orientations, business reviews, semiannual/quarterly line reviews, and brain storm sessions.

    • Responsible for managing licensee press releases, cross marketing and promotions

  • Negotiate new licensed strategic partnerships for assigned segments in conjunction with established category strategies

I have 8 years experience of working for a large London Publishing house licensing book content to third parties. I am looking for a role which utilises my skills in negotiation and relationship building and can develop my experience within the licensing field. Having licensed book content to a wide variety of customers from national Newspapers to international Publishers I would relish the experience to work in a new industry, licensing new content to new clients.
I realise that a move across from traditional publishing may mean a step down from the managerial role I was in before. I'm enthusiastic to work in a new industry and feel my skills are easily transferable and am happy to look outside licensing roles also.
