New App for Moomins

Moomin Characters are the subject of a new Moomin emoji app, which launched this month.
The app is unique in that it uses original artwork from Tove Jansson's critically acclaimed Moomin books, and features all of the most popular characters. Moomins are popular in the UK, with a new 52-episode animation just announced with Endemol Shine.
Compatible with most messaging apps, including Whatsapp and Link, the Moomiji app offers 24 different Moomin stickers based on original artwork from Moomin creator Tove Jansson.
Taking inspiration from Jansson’s critically acclaimed stories but combining them with internet culture, Moomin leading lady Snorkmaiden becomes the new ‘sassy girl’ in her stylish black bikini, for example, and mischievous Little My Laughs Out Loud – probably at the expense of one of her Moominvalley friends. There’s even a Moomiji for ‘facepalm’ as Moominmamma, dressed in her signature red and white apron, holds a hand over her eyes.
Other characters to feature in the app include Moomin, Moominpappa, Snufkin, Sniff, the Mymble’s Daughter, Stinky and the Groke, representing emotions ranging from innocence and amazement to boredom and fear.
Sophia Jansson, niece of Tove Jansson and creative director of Moomin Characters, said: “Tove’s stories tackle big subjects like love, tolerance, family and adventure, so her original drawings provide all the raw materials needed to express a diverse range of emotions. What says happiness more than Moomin dancing in a field of yellow flowers? And who personifies flirtation more than the wide-eyed Mymble’s daughter?
“We’re hoping that existing Moomin fans are excited to ‘say it with Moomin’, but also that the emojis will be the perfect introduction to Moomin for the next generation – particularly with a new 52-episode animation just announced.”

The product line will feature Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo in three sets at varying price points: 18 pieces with four turtle cards; 38 pieces with eight turtle cards; and 60 pieces with 12 turtle cards.

Executive Seeks New Challenges
I have 8 years experience of working for a large London Publishing house licensing book content to third parties. I am looking for a role which utilises my skills in negotiation and relationship building and can develop my experience within the licensing field. Having licensed book content to a wide variety of customers from national Newspapers to international Publishers I would relish the experience to work in a new industry, licensing new content to new clients.
I realise that a move across from traditional publishing may mean a step down from the managerial role I was in before. I'm enthusiastic to work in a new industry and feel my skills are easily transferable and am happy to look outside licensing roles also.
